The Monkees Bring Down The House Rockin And Cool

The Monkees Bring Down The House
                          Rockin And Cool
         The Monkees Peter Tork,Micky Dolenz,and
Mike Nesmith, are touring four twelve days.
It started on November 8,2012 and ended in
       December 2,2012.
How did Michael Nesmith say yes?It was like
this, after a private memorial for their one of a kind,
good  friend, Davy Jones, April 2012,Mike sais,he
wanted to part of it.This is how the last concert came
about. They also made sure they had gold drums that
had The Monkees logo on the front of it in red like the
       TV show.
If you missed the final show, which was sold out.You
can watch  it on you tube.Just type this:The Monkees
2012 New York Beacon Theatre, and you can see.
      clips of the show.
At that show were  very many pretty blond teen-
age girls dancing to The Monkees tunes. There al-
so were  brunettes, black haired, red head teenage
       girls  doing the same thing.
Many people commented on how funny, and wit-
ty Mike Nesmith was imitating  billion dollar Moog
synthesizer to "Daily Nightly" written  also, by  pro-
fessional  musician Mike Nesmith, while Micky was
       singing  from Mike's song book.Another highlight,al-
so, was hearing Mike go through many of the songs
he  wrote, and sang to.There was a variety of songs:
"You Just May Be The One,"Sunny Girlfriend, which
was  really cool, and ""Why Am I Hangin Around,"
       "Papa Genes Blues,""Tropical Tundra,""Girl I Knew-
From Some Where,"and two more super rockin hits:
"Circle Sky,"and "Listen To The Band"which both of
these songs have a cool rockin guitar sound to hear.I
       am impressed,at Mike's songs.Only"Mary Mary"also
written by Mike Nesmith, was sung be Micky Dolenz.
       I guess because Micky,rockin drum solo,before getting
       into the song."Mary Mary."
As I was brought before,"Mary Mary,"seemed to be
the only song, which was not sung by the writer.Peter sang
the songs he wrote like his famous "For Petes Sake" which
was used  as the song end  credits in season two of  the TV
show The Monkees. Peter Tork also sang his songs, that
was  wrtten for The Monkees movie:"HEAD."
Micky also sang "The Porpoise Song"theme song for the
for "HEAD"as well as the song for the belly dancers in the
belly dancers scenes, with all The Monkees in "HEAD"
So how was Davy Jones part of the show?In the movie
"HEAD" Davy Jones sang the verses:"the porpoise is laugh-
laughing goodbye goodbye,"and also the song Micky sung
in the movie:"HEAD" where Davy Jones was going through
the flowers, and the beach scenes. Then they also played the
video  from The Monkees TV show, where he sings the song
"I Wanna Be Free,"Davy Jones is at the beach, with a beach
ball, pondering,as he is singing this very song .The Monkees
played a song they never will sing again, but only the audi-
        ence.That song is the famous:"Day Dream Believer,"which
a teen girl,or two woman are chosen to sing the song, while
Micky sings only enough,to make sure ,they get the words
       right.
Micky did a cool thing with this famous song, which was
       "I'm A Believer."He took his hand tambourine,and toward
the end of the song, broke the theme of the song, signaling
all his band membersto do this:"I'm-a-be-lie-ver.It was a
a cool rockin trick, that got all the band members, enjoying,
The crowds just loved it very much. Also Micky sang first
number one song:"Last Train To Clarksville,"along with
songs from:"HEAD",where Davy  was passing through
flowers, and on the beach. Also Mike sang the song for
psychodelic music, and dancing in scenes for "HEAD."
They gave us much happiness being funny, rockin out,
and entertaining us,so we could be a little more happier.
Everyone commented how The Monkees were re-
       relaxed,and were being their ownselves,being witty,and
making  people laughed.I give this Rockin and Cool fun
tour 2012 The Monkees Ten Gold Stars, for doing a fun
job, being professsional, and entertaining us to the max.
This was truely,a Rockin  Cool Concert Tour 2012  of
The Monkees.Davy would have been very proud,of the
       cooperation,of Mike,Micky,and Peter,how they worked
together to pull this off. They also had help, from CoCo
related to Micky Dolenz, and Mike's son Chritian Nesmith.
Davy was trying to teach by example, that they had to
work together, putting music talents aside,by working as profes-
       sionals.It worked,and everyone noticed,how they were closer,.
then they had before. What a Rockin Cool finish to the group
called: "The Monkees."A Rockin Cool finish.to The Monkees
Mania saga.Davy,Micky,Peter and Mike, are truly the famous

be recharged,to keep it running,to make it work.Did you
see the The Monkees audio logo in lights in this car?It is
way cool. They only problem is you can sit in the middle
of the custom bench seat.

  1. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves at The Monkees 2012 Tour "The Evening With The Monkees."
To show my appreciation,I made a write up about the tour, and included many Monkeemobile pictures in the article.
I always considered The Monkeemobile "The Fifth
Monkee,"so out of respect of The Monkees:Davy,
    Peter,Micky,and Mike,I included them.
I also wanted to give a shout out to Dean Jeffries "The King Of Stripers"for designing two Monkeemobiles dream rods for the TV show, and car
shows too. Also George Barris "The King Of Promotions" for keeping the photos available all these years,so we could buy them for our use.
